The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of South Africa is looking for a partner organization to implement a project concept of the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme - “The Education of South African youth in the field of corruption prevention”. The selected organization together with the Embassy will choose and finance the candidates to participate in the Transparency International School on Integrity (TISI), which is an annual anti-corruption and accountability training for future leaders.
The leader of the biggest opposition party in South African Parliament Mmusi Maimane presented his complements to Lithuania on the anniversary of the Restoration of the State.
On February 8, Lithuanian pianist Mūza Rubackytė together with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra ended the concert series, dedicated to the centennial of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania, in South Africa. In the packed Cape Town Artscape Opera, the public received M. Rubackytė’s and South African musician’s performance exceptionally warmly. M. Rubackytė for the occasion of the centennial performed in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Knysna and Cape Town.
