How to register for an appointment

How to Book a Visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of South Africa

Appointments for a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Pretoria can only be booked through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' electronic platform, KONSREG.

User Registration

If you are using the appointment booking system for the first time, you must first register as a user of this electronic system.

User registration is performed in the following way:

  1. Go to the KONSREG page (click here), press the "Register" button, and enter the requested information.
  2. You will receive an automatic system email with a link in the mailbox you provided on the form.
  3. Click the link you received. Your user registration will only be finalized after completing this step.

Reminder: make sure to write down and save your system login details (your username is the email address you provided, and your password is the one you created during user registration). You'll need them every time you want to book an appointment at the embassy.

Booking an Appointment

  • Go to the KONSREG page (click here), press the "Login" button, and enter your login details (the email address you used for user registration and the password you created during registration).
  • In the window that opens, click "Book an Appointment".
  • In the next window, select "Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of South Africa" from the list of embassies and click the "Next" button.
  • You must now select whether you are booking a service for yourself (click "I will arrive in person") or for another person, where you will represent them when submitting or collecting documents (click "I will represent another person"). After making your selection, click the "Next" button.
  • In the window titled "Purpose of your visit to the embassy" you must select the purpose of your visit.
  • Select the service you require and click the "Next" button. Note: At the embassy in South Africa, you can only book appointments for passport/ID card issuance. If you want to book another consular service, please contact the embassy by email at kons.za@urm.lt.
  • In the "Provide Details" window, check that your contact information is correct. In the "Additional Information" box, you can enter any details you think will help the consular officer prepare for your visit. Click "Next".
  • In the "Your Appointment Time" window, select your arrival date and time. Click "Next". IMPORTANT: If you see that all dates marked in RED, it means there are no available appointments at this time. New time slots will be opened on the date displayed in the announcement line at the bottom of our homepage.
  • In the "Review and Confirm Booking Details" window, review all the information you have entered to ensure it is correct. Then, check the box "I agree to the terms of registration", enter the security code shown on the screen, and click the "Confirm" button.
  • An on-screen message will appear: "A confirmation link has been sent to your email. If you do not confirm the booking within 15 minutes, it will be CANCELLED"
  • Go to your email and click the link to confirm your appointment.
  • Once you have completed the steps described above, your appointment booking will be automatically confirmed.

What to Do If You Cannot Make Your Scheduled Appointment

If circumstances change and you can no longer make your reserved appointment and wish to cancel it or change the time, please note the following:

Currently, the KONSREG system does not allow you or embassy staff to directly change the time or date of an existing appointment. Therefore, whether you want to cancel your appointment or change the arrival time, you must first cancel the existing one and, if needed, book a new appointment for a different date and time.

You can cancel your appointment in the following way:

  1. Go to the KONSREG page (click here), click the "Login" button, and enter your login details (the email address you used to register and the password you created).
  2. In the window that opens, click the "My Appointments" button, select your appointment, and click the "Cancel Appointment" button.

Alternatively, you can inform the embassy staff that you are unable to make your appointment by email (kons.za@urm.lt) or phone (+27 012 7609000), and a staff member will cancel the appointment for you.
