Ambassador’s meeting with artist Onela Wellem: preparation for the exhibition on historic women

On April 16, Ambassador Rasa Jankauskaitė met with artist Onela Wellem.
The meeting featured a warm and engaging discussion on one of Lithuania’s notable historical women, who will be presented in the upcoming exhibition “Portraits of Power: Historicizing Women’s Stories.” The exchange also explored the historical context and Lithuania’s links with South African history.
The Embassy sincerely thanks the Charlotte Mannya-Maxeke Institute (CMMI) for the opportunity to take part in this meaningful initiative. Appreciation is also extended to talented young artist Onela Wellem, whose creative approach will bring a new artistic dimension to this story.
