Certificate awarding ceremony of the participants of the short-term medical courses provided by the Lithuanian University of Health Science

On 19 October 2024, the best evaluated students from South Africa, who took part in the short-term medical courses provided by the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LUMS), has received the certificates in Pretoria.

The students, their families, principles of schools and members of the committee evaluated joint projects of students have gathered at the residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania. The Ambassador of Lithuania Rasa Jankauskaitė presented for guests Lithuania, its history, economic achievements, culture and traditions and diverse range of study opportunities.

"Lithuania is a great place to study and a country with a rich history, vibrant culture, beautiful nature and a dynamic business environment. Lithuania has something for everyone," said Jankauskaitė, inviting to visit Lithuania.

The online medical courses were attended by forty students in 10-12 grade, of whom the best eight were awarded prizes - from Helpmaker and Abbots Colleges, and Rustenburg and Waterkloof Schools.

Project initiators are LSMU and Ansonette Esterhuizen, an independent education expert in South Africa, with partnership of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of South Africa.
