Christmas Gathering of the Lithuanian Community at the Ambassador’s Residence in Pretoria
On 13 December, the traditional Christmas gathering of the Lithuanian community took place at the residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in Pretoria.
At the festive gathering, Ambassador Rasa Jankauskaitė expressed her gratitude to the active Lithuanian community in South Africa, thanked members for their ongoing support and strong sense of community, and highlighted the Embassy’s achievements over the past year while outlining its priorities for the year ahead. She also encouraged the community to remain actively involved in Embassy initiatives and to continue fostering close ties among each other.
The festive atmosphere was enriched by a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, the children’s joyful participation, and a surprise visit from Santa Claus, adding warmth and a sense of celebration to the gathering.
