Job Announcement for a Position of a Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of South Africa.
Position overview:
To receive and register incoming and outgoing documents, manage correspondence, manage the agenda of the ambassador, help organize the events of the embassy, organize the logistics of the official visits, inform visitors and the broader public on the activities of the embassy and on Lithuania in general, liaising with the secretariats of the other diplomatic missions to South Africa to ensure effective exchange of information, performing other duties.
Required skills and competencies:
- knowledge of an office work and archives legislation;
- independant worker;
- excellent knowledge of English;
- excellent computer literacy in office applications (MS Office software package);
- excellent knowledge of standard office equipment (scanner, photocopier, etc.), telephonic and electronic means of communication;
- legal resident of South Africa.
Desired skills and competencies:
- knowledge of one or more of the official South African languages;
- experience in secretarial or equivalent functions.
