Lithuanian Ambassador visited Lithuanian capital companies
Lithuanian Ambassador to South Africa H E Mrs Rasa Jankauskaite visited Lithuanian capital companies "Nemuno banga Africa" and "South Group Recycling" operating in South Africa. During her visit, she met with the management and employees of the companies, took an interest in business development, manufacturing processes and challenges faced by Lithuanian businesses in the region.
"Nemuno banga Africa“ is the African branch of „Nemuno banga“ based in Lithuania. The company operates in the field of plastics processing and manufacturing. It is one of the successful Lithuanian business investments in South Africa. The company creates jobs for local people and contributes to the development of a sustainable economy by developing innovative products.
"South Group Recycling“ is another Lithuanian capital company specialising in recycling secondary raw materials. It plays an important role in the development of South Africa's circular economy by reducing waste and promoting sustainable production solutions.
The Ambassador stressed that the establishment of Lithuanian business in South Africa is a significant factor in strengthening bilateral economic relations. "The success of Lithuanian business in South Africa shows that our companies can compete in the global market, develop innovative solutions and contribute to sustainable development. I am pleased to see how Lithuanian investments not only strengthen economic ties between our countries, but also create social value to the local community," said the Ambassador.
The Embassy of Lithuania in South Africa actively supports Lithuanian business interests in South Africa and the region as well as promotes economic projects.
