Lithuanian Ambassador Visits Namibia

15-17 October 2018, Ambassador Sigutė Jakštonytė visited Namibia's capital Windhoek. During the visit, the ambassador met with representatives of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Namibian Industry and Commerce Chamber Charity Mwiya. The meetings were used to discuss bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Namibia as well as opportunities for developing bilateral economic and trade relations.

The Ambassador also participated at the bilateral political consultations between the European Union and Namibia.

Lithuania and Namibia established diplomatic relations in 2005. Lithuanian Ambassador Sigutė Jakštonytė, residing in South Africa's capital Pretoria, has been accredited to the Republic of Namibia since 2017.
