Networking event for business at Lithuanian Embassy
On 2nd November a networking event for companies participating on the trade mission in South Africa was organized at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania. The event was attended by representatives of South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Agricultural Business Chamber, SA Shippers Transport and Logistics Council, companies such as Fort Engineering, Kuehne Nagel, Iced Technologies and others.
In her address to the guests Ambassador of Lithuania H.E. Sigutė Jakštonytė noted that in todays globalized world there is a need to look for ways of cooperation. Despite the fact that this is the first Lithuanian business mission to South Africa, it certainly will not be the last, and that the plans for business promotion events for the coming year are already being developed.
Director of the Export Department of the Enterprise Lithuania Ms Jurgita Butkevičienė presented business conditions and potential opportunities for cooperation in Lithuania.
On the 2nd and 3rd of November the Embassy hosted individual business meetings with South African companies for Lithuanian companies Baltic Filter, Dinapolis, Dzūkijos Furniture Factory, Auga and Ruvera individual meetings.
A business mission organized by Enterprise Lithuania is funded under the 2014-2020 European Union funds investment program of the European Regional Development Fund.
