The Ambassador participated in the meeting with the mayor of Johannesburg

On 14 September, the Ambassador Sigutė Jakštonytė participated in the meeting together with the ambassadors of other European Union countries in South Africa with the Mayor of Johannesburg Herman Mashaba.
At the meeting, the Mayor Mashaba introduced the vision for the future of Johannesburg ant presented first year achievements of his administration. The Mayor also invited the countries of the European Union to cooperate in investing in the infrastructure of Johannesburg, answered questions.
Herman Mashaba is the first mayor of Johannesburg since 1994 who represents the opposition party- Democratic Alliance.
