The investment and export potential of Lithuania was presented in Mozambique

On 14 May 2019, marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Mozambique, the Embassy of Lithuania in Mozambique's capital Maputo presented Lithuania's investment and export potential.

The First Secretary of the Embassy Mr. Gediminas Kuras at the meetings with representatives of the Confederation of Business Associations of Mozambique presented the main export sectors of the Lithuanian economy. During a round table discussion with Mozambican business representatives, the prospects of fostering bilateral trade relations between Lithuania and Mozambique and promoting two-sided investment were discussed.

Representatives of the Confederation of Business Associations noted the Mozambican government's ambition to attract investment in the agriculture, tourism and energy sectors, and invited Lithuanian representatives to visit the International Business Exhibition FACIM 2019 in September.

Currently, Lithuania and Mozambique have a trade turnover of 16.8 million. EUR. Most of this turnover consists of exports of Lithuanian production to Mozambique.
