Voting in the Presidential election and the Referendum on Lithuanian citizenship
Presidential elections, and a mandatory referendum on the aquisition of Lithuanian citizenship will take place on 12 May 2024. The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of South Africa invites every citizen of Lithuania residing abroad or visiting South Africa who is over the age of 18 and eligible to vote to register for voting by post or in person in the Presidential election and the Referendum on Lithuanian citizenship (Amendment of Article 12 of the Constitution). Voters who have registered to vote in the Presidential elections will be deemed to have registered for the referendum. IMPORTANT! 23th of April is a final date for registration to vote by post in South Africa We stongly invite you to vote!
